With the understanding on the hardship encountered by the individuals who experience income loss due to various reasons such as unemployment, termination of employment, or salary reduction, the Government Savings Bank (GSB) has implemented the project to enhance financial stability, provide training, educate, provide equipment for career, and alleviate the hardships of the people to generate additional income for themselves as well as creating marketing opportunities for sustainability.

Community Artisans Training with Concrete Results

In collaboration with the Office of Vocational Education Commission and Vocational Education Institutes, the Government Savings Bank brought the students to transfer knowledge and skills from classrooms to the community, enabling people to create professions, jobs, and income.

Job Creation, Income Generation, and Food Entrepreneur Empowering

As part of GSB’s job creation and career development plan, this project aims to assist small-scale business owners and communities impacted by the COVID-19 situation. The focus is on developing community kitchens and enhancing knowledge and skills in food preparation that align with the community’s identity. The objective of the project is to create community chefs, establish food entrepreneurship, and support community tourism in 6 regions, 6 provinces, and 6 communities. This is achieved by providing comprehensive knowledge and expertise from Michelin-starred chefs and food ambassadors for sustainable development, supported by United Nations.

Empowering Students to Become Business Owners

Government Savings Bank (GSB) collaborates with higher education institutions to provide opportunities for interested students to become new entrepreneurs through the GSB Smart Startup Company program while studying at university. The program supports startup capital to foster innovative ideas and enable the development of business plans that can lead to successful and viable businesses in the real world.

GSB Youth Local Conservation Project

Strengthening Local Wisdom

The Government Savings Bank (GSB) partners with higher education institutions and the younger generation to collaborate, participate, and engage in on-site activities that enhance and develop local wisdom. The project focuses on studying, analyzing, and developing business knowledge to be used in planning and solving various problems. It promotes the potential of community organizations or OTOP entrepreneurs to manage and develop their products, prepare for market entry, and compete effectively. Additionally, it creates learning experiences and group work opportunities for students to utilize local wisdom as a pathway for personal development when entering the workforce market.

Apart from enhancing knowledge and skills, funding assistance is something that the Government Savings Bank places importance on so that people can start their careers in order to reduce reliance on high-interest loans or informal loans.

This program aims to assist individuals and entrepreneurs who have undergone vocational training or have basic experience in professions such as masonry, electrical work, trading, services, and manufacturing for sale. It provides access to initial capital for starting their professions or enhancing their financial stability to sustain their business operations.

People's Bank Debt Relief Program

Assisting the Public in Solving Informal Debts

This program aims to help individuals who have been economically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It focuses on assisting the public in resolving informal debts that have arisen from their livelihood or consumer spending. Individuals can borrow up to a maximum of 200,000 Baht, based on their needs and repayment capacity.

Providing support by delivering sales equipment such as carts, tents, and market umbrellas to entrepreneurs and footpath businesses in the Bangkok area.

The Government Savings Bank (GSB) collaborates with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to enhance the capabilities of entrepreneurs and footpath businesses. They provide support by delivering sales equipment such as carts, tents, and market umbrellas to entrepreneurs and footpath businesses in the Bangkok area. The objective is to elevate the quality standards, establish stronger health and food safety practices, and promote a healthy environment for businesses operating along the footpath.
