GSB places great importance on and is committed to promoting social, community and environmental responsibility policies to reduce the impact caused by climate change from GSB’s operations. This agrees with the country’s goal of driving climate change response and push the country towards Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions towards the Sustainable Development Goals according to the government’s policies.
To expand the performance in reducing greenhouse gas emissions that affect the environment according to eco-efficiency assessment principles towards net zero emission targets from GSB’s business operations and enhancing the capability in reducing impacts from climate change, GSB therefore plans to formulate plans and management guidelines for reducing carbon emissions. This includes Capacity Building so that all executives and employees have knowledge and understanding of Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emissions to drive operations efficiently in order to achieve GSB’s Sustainability Goals and the Sustainability Goals of the country.
Initially, GSB has a plan for the environment by installing solar rooftops at branches and planting approximately 600 rai of forests in 2023. Although GSB may start taking environmental action later than others, once it has been done, we will do seriously to produce clear results. The goals set by GSB must be challenging and achievable. Setting Net Zero targets and roadmaps towards net zero emissions will help GSB’s environmental performance to be more directional and help strengthen GSB’s role in sustainability.
