Government Savings Bank provides inward remittance (Inward international fund transfer) services in 4 currencies: US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), British Pound Sterling (GBP) and Japanese Yen (JPY).

Service

Receive international fund transfer to GSB recipient accounts.

Fees

0.25% of the total amount converted to Thai baht (minimum fee is 200 baht and maximum fee is 500 baht).

Remarks

In the event of the fund receipt’s account is registered in upcountry region (except Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Ayutthaya), the Bank will charge a fee of 1 Baht per transaction for all amounts of 1,000 Baht. Fractional amounts will be rounded up to the nearest thousand. However, the amount must not be less than 10 baht and not exceed 1,000 baht. The communication line fee of 20 baht per transaction will be charged.

Information about international fund transfer service

For accuracy and efficiency in inward international fund transfers, the recipient should inform the sender about transfer instructions. The sender must inform the bank that the currency should not be converted to Thai Baht or transferred in Thai Baht. The money must be transferred in four currencies offered by the recipient’s bank only. Details are in Advice for receiving international fund transfers.
